I acquired a 2.5" 40GB SATA HDD. My friend I guess pulled it from his PS3 or something. Well it says "Not suitable for laptop computer use" so IDK what the hell I'm supposed to do with it.
if he did pull it from a ps3 then your computer will not recognise it, the way i got it to work is by installing an operating sytem on it, once you do this it will be formated to a file system that the computer can recognise, im not sure if theres another way to get use out of it but im sure there is
I'm thinking with the Xbox the drive is locked somehow and can't be accessed without mucking around with special software and such. I assume the PS3 would be much the same. There might be some way of unlocking it and making it usable for your typical PC, but I honestly wouldn't know where to start looking...
