what to look for in a scanner

i'm upgrading the scanner so i'll need the highest resolution quality and the biggest document size it can take. most of them run around 500 dollars.

i'm deciding on brands,

CANNON or EPSON or whatever

what scanners do you have and is it any good?

i think i'll go SCSI this time around.

I got a cheap scanner for 100$ a few years ago, its either fast with low quility or slwo with higher quility, i dont really know hwat to look for, but on the SLOWEST mode it comes up with much better quility then i ever would have thought, you just have to be willing to wait 15minites per scan.


I would try and find out some kind of quility and speed rating, if there is one.

You want a high resolution, look for something like 2400x1200 dpi. TYhats a fairly standard household one. Pretty much all you need to look for really.
