That current PSU is garbage and I would recommend not using that system with that PSU.

The only thing I can recommend is a new PSU.

You don't need 1000W, but you will need something with 50A on the 12V rail.

Ah thanks yeah the reason I said 1000 was so I could upgrade to quadfire if that's what it is called and I want to overclock the cpu to 3.4ghz. I am hoping that it does not over heat with the case I have

I know it does not would have to purchase a new one. I think overclocking to 3.4ghz is a better solution, but I am also new to overclocking.

Agree with bigfella, PSU is worth the upgrade for sure. In my first PC i used some cheap nasty PSU and it was filled with problems. Upgraded to a Corsair and i have never had any trouble since Only annoying thing with corsairs is the cables they provide aren't great, apart from that i'm certainly not complaining. Let us know what you go for =]
