What type of CD drive for a S-ATA mobo?

I'm after a dual layer DVD RW cd drive, but I do not know what type to get. I have a S-ATA motherboard (http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket754/k8v-x/overview.htm)

Do I need an SCSI or an IDE drive? Or are there S-ATA drives available?

you should get either s-ata of ide
and yes there are lots of sata available

That mob still has some of the old IDE connectors so it is still ok to get a cheaper IDE drive for your computer, no need to use sata optical drives just yet.
