What type of DVD should I use?

I need to download a driver to a computer with nearly no drivers. I have to use the DVD drive. Should I use DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, SL or DL? Basically I'm asking if it would make a difference.

All you need is a cd-r.

Any will work, the bare minimum and cheapest is using a CD-R as John stated, but if you need to use a DVD either a DVD+R or DVD-R would work just fine. A flash drive is also a great alternative.
