The actual platform for the old T-Bird there is pre-AMD64 with a 32bot only cpu. That's an early Socket A if not still Slot #1 type seen there. It's an IBM compatible while being closest to an I686 not I486 there. The K5-6s were still past the I486 being comparitable to an I586.
