I have an old pentium 3, 256MB RAM (PC133), running winXP pro. Its a HP Vectra VLi8, it has onboard graphics, but they suck, because I cant play call of duty on my PC. What kind of graphics card can I get that will work?

if you have an agp slot, then you can pretty much go with any agp video card, you c an go with an ati 9250 if you want a cheap card, or go with something like the 9800 for pretty good graphics.

Based on the specs you have given I would say, save up some money and get yourself a new computer...

Haha, I was given this to play with. I would never have paid money for it. I just use it to play old atari games and stuff.

Sorry, i should have explained more. It has 2 standard PCI slots. The onboard graphics is AGP but its crap. I just want something that is powerfull enough to play Call of Duty. Like I said before, I normally only use it to play old atari games. I did have an Oktek card in it before, but it died and I have no idea what the stats were for it.

huh?

and u wont be able to play call of duty on that comp even if u got a 7800 gtx, a old pantium 3 and 256 mb 133 ram? that can barely run win xp

Thats a P3 650 right? I'm sorry but even if you upgrade the video and RAM you won't be able to run Call OF Duty very well.

Minimum:
  • System: Pentium® III 700MHz or Athlon® 700MHz processor or equivalent
  • RAM: 128 MB RAM
  • CD-ROM: 8X CD-ROM
  • Video Memory: 32 MB VRAM
  • Hard Drive Space: 1400 MB
  • DirectX: DirectX v9.0
Hovewer don't expect blazing speeds if you do upgrade what you've got, the recommended specs is often what should be considered the minimum.

Any P3 with 128 or 256MB RAM can run XP with ease. ;)

Oh and good luck getting a 7800 series card in a P3 mobo.
