What video card for a 22" monitor?

Plan on playing COD4, Crysis, etc. @ 1650x1050.

What card? Kind of on a budget, I have a topic in the desktop forum.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm actually hoping to learn a bit about computers. Currently I'm pretty clueless, but there are plenty of the weird kids and school who could help me if I get in trouble...and all the knowledgeable people on here.

If i were you, i would get a X38 motherboard, paired with a 3870X2.

Or even wait on the 4800 series to come out, but I'm not sure what the release date is.

Agreed. You can get a X2 for under $400, at the moment, and the 4870 will be between $350-$400...when it's released.

The 4800's are supposed to be released in May... so hopefully within a week or two.

I'll explain. My mom is a principal and needs a computer update. She gets $1500 to spend. I get to configure it.
