Hello guys,

What was the worst OS you have ever used? It doesn't have to be Windows.

For me it was Windows ME, because to me it was Windows 98 with nice new features not a OS.

How about you?

ME by far. I installed it on a virtual machine as a test for my IT class and it immediately crashed.

Windows ME was a OS. New features from a prior base is what all OSs are. 7 is just Vista with some reworking and new features. XP was just 2000 with some new features, a new skin and little better usability.

For me, it would have to be PClinuxOS since I cant even get it installed except via a HDD wipe. Not saying it can not be done, but I dont have the knowledge.

Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 OSR2. Had to set up everything. No automatic nothing.
98 2nd edition was better. Never had ME or Vista but went to XP Pro that was great and Windows 7 Pro the best and in that order. Even when i got started there was no Windows but just DOS and bulletin boards and dial up. No such thing as the internet then.

I would say XP, so many viruses during the time I used it. Then Vista just made me leave Windows all together.

For a Linux OS I would say Chromium OS, I liked "Flow" but the new version "Vanilla" is very buggy and highly unstable.

I really disliked OS X Snow Leopard when I had my Mac. I ended up installing Win 7 on it and never went back.

I don't have my worst OS lol.Try to make one and you will see how hard that job is and then you will see how other operating systems actually rule lol.Even Windows ME :P

I am sure it is hard, but you do not go from Windows 98 second edition to ME and have a excuse, let alone charge the amount M$ does.

that looks to be a really sucky OS.

and on a note to that link, they had some bad wording. Microsoft will allow OEMs to ship dual booted computers. But they both have to be windows distros.

Vista hate it and havnt installed it on one of my pcs for many years and probs wont again, slower than any other os ive used, to me its like xp thats had a face lift :L xp is far better tho!
