Ok, I read through the psu 101, Still got a qeustion?
Ok I put in 1 cathode, 3 or 4 four pin fans (120mm & 80mm), 2 ata HDD, 1 cd/dvd burner, and a MSI 6600 256mb vid card, and a biostar tforce 6100 motherboard ( w/ dual core support) w/ 1gb of ram running a athlon 64 venice socket 939, how large of a Psu, should I get. (Normally, I'd go with a 350w-450w, but normally I don't use leds fans and cathodes either.)

400-500 would be plenty for most applications. Just be sure it's a good power supply with a fair amount of amps on the 12v line.

Also, don't just go with cheap ones that have good specs... I tried that and got 2 bad PSUs in a row...

I've made that mistake in the past a few times. When it comes to PCs, you get what you pay for. From the case to the processor.....
