What web design and game design software would you recommend ?

Kind of a two-part question here.

Question 1: Game Design. So I was thinking about making a 2D or 3D game as a bit of a side hobby, however as I look around I see there is a lot of software available. A few I have found is ClickTeam Fusion 2.5 and Unity ! Does anyone recommend theses or have a better program they know of ? (I dont mind paying). On a side note I don't mind a software with a bit/alot of programming involved.


Question 2: Web Design. For web design my question is about Dreamweaver. Would you recommend it for creating websites or maybe a 2D game ? or do you know recommend a different software ? (html5)

They're my two questions any other advice on the topics would also be welcomed !

Do you have any programming experience? There is no making a game without it. I'd try gamemaker first. I've found it to be the easiest way to get into making games.

I personally think anything beyond a good text editor and a browser is overkill for Web Development. Pick up something like Notepad++ or Atom. Again, you need some sort of programming experience.

I know a bit of C++. Which language would you recommend for someone starting to make games ? C++, Java ?
