What will it do?

LAst year I bought a DVD ROM drive for my computer. Just to have a DVD player and it works fine for that.
Last month I bought a DVD Rewriter and it works great too, both will play DVD's.
I have burned several DVD's from my DVD rom drive on a DVD-R.
I tried to burn a DVD-RW and nothing.

My PC does not see a DVD-RW disc in either drive, if it's a "RW", but they both see a DVD-R.

Will a DVD+RW work in either drive? I don't want to buy a stack of 50 DVD(+)RW and then find out the PC can't them either.

Is there a real difference between DVD-RW and DVD+RW?

Thanks

There is no real difference between the + and - discs except its a different brand. Sadly they are locked to the drives supporting them.

I never knew there was such difference in DVD thing.
To op question, you got yourself a DVD-R(W) which I think is not compatible in both DVD because according to the article
DVD-R(W) standard was not as well designed as DVD+R(W)
Is that possible?
