What would be an ultimate air cooling setup?

I was thinking about having like a miniature swamp cooler (if you don't know what that is, it's basically a radiator) mounted to the back of my comp where my intake fans are for tons of cold air to be blowing in. What do you think?

This is the ultimate cooling setup: http://www.techchee.com/2007/11/24/...rapped-in-ice/pc-with-66-fans-for-its-cooler/ :)

On a serious note, you have to have good cross ventaltion that doesn`t create pressure zones or dead spots in the case. I dont know what your case in like but ideally to have less dust in your case you need to create positive pressure inside your case by having more intake fans than exhaust. You want to make sure the air is moving around inside your case. Usually case`s have the front fans set to intake the rear ones to exhaust the heat.

Yes, but I need really cold air going in, that's a problem. In south Louisiana, room temperature tends to be quite hot.
EDIT: Oh, and I'm ordering a 120mm fan tonight to go as an intake in the front.

the temperature isnt going to make a huge difference as long as you have air moving quickly and have a good heatsink:
this is the best heatsink on the market:

two of these on either side of it:

more Realistically (if you value your hearing) get a single on of these:

that will probably cool better then most watercooling setups though it will be loud

Eh, first I need to get a job before I look into any expensive/insane/ultra cooling systems. I'm looking for one, at least. But the area I live in is very rural. Maybe in a few weeks I can upgrade my cooling.

The ambient temperature actually makes quiet a large difference. It produces about a 10º - 15ºC swing on my computer from my room temp in the winter (around 60ºF) and my summer room temp (around 85ºF).

As for that setup, I'm pretty sure the effectiveness of the fans will drop off after a certain amount of CFMs. 2 or 3 medium - high speed quality fans should keep the system fairly cool with top-of-the-line heatsinks. Heck, my system, with 2 gigantic passive heatsinks for the CPU and GPU, runs very cool with just 3 fans (800 rpm intake, 1200 rpm exhaust, variable speed PSU fan).

Yeah my Q6600 runs @ 35-38c when my room hits 85-90F when during the winter I run around 30-33c idle.

So put it near a AC vent can make a huge difference.

ultimate air cooling solution :D

I'm actually thinking about installing a window unit in my room and setting my computer with the intakes facing that =P

Actually also thought about putting a box fan next to it lol, or mounting one on the side =P
