what is the best out of ATI?

im talking about the 2900XT vs the HD 3870?

the 3870 has gddr4 as opposed to gddr3 but the 2900Xt has way better ?speeds

what is the best out of Nvidia?

the 8800GTS vs the 8800GT?

I dont know which one of these is better can someone explain ?

which card would be the best one to buy out of these four?
 
The ATI 3870 is better than the 2900XT, and newegg has them for $269.

Nvidia's best card for that money is the 8800GTX (G80 core), which is slightly better than the 8800GT (G92 core). But, the 8800GTX is about $450, and the 8800GT is only $270.

Overall the best deal is the 8800GT for price and performance, no doubt.

The 8800GT is better then the 3870, although it's a bit more expensive.

nVidia is really confusing people with these cards, right now the 8800GT is better then the 8800GTS. However they are redesigning the 8800GTS so soon that will be better.

Why do you ppl take me for a fool. I checked all the specifications the graphic cards are pretty even 3870 beats 8800GT in some areas and 8800GT beats 3870 in others, I just wanted to know which ones better just a simple yes or no so I would save myself from doing reasearch all saturday

kinda funny stuff because my friend just bought a 2900XT and now there is a way better and cheaper card ont eh market im going to lol at him on monday
