What would bottleneck a 8800GTS

I have heard that c2d processors could be a bottleneck to the 8800GTS. Is this true? So if its true, what is the minimum specs to keep up for the new card? cpu, ram, motherboard.

He said Mostly anything BUT the c2d or c2q. So these cpu's should be absoloutly fine

A E2140 could bottleneck a "G92" version of the GTS...

Aha looks like there is a misinterpretation there. Perharps the phrase "other than" could be used instead of but. Anyway thanks for the clarification.

So would a c2d 6320 be considered fine too?

All devices are bottlenecking at some point, it just depends how much.

The Core 2 Duos/Quads are the best desktop processors you can buy now, so even if it did bottleneck it a bit, theres really nothing more to choose from.
