I currently have a gripped Canon 30D and some lenses (18-55mm IS, Sigma 10-20mm, and a few manual focus lenses). I'm thinking about upgrading the body but I'm not sure what I should do.

I'm thinking of either:
A. Get a 40D and a 50mm f/1.8
or
B. get a 50D (body only)

I shoot a lot of landscapes/seascapes, a few portraits, and a lot of city/urban photographs.

What is your opinion what what I should do, and could you please tell me why?

Thanks.

I forgot to add, I have a pending sale on my camera. With the money from that, and what I have on me, I will have about $500 to spend.

Yah.. I'd go with the 50D as well. thats actually the camera I'm going to upgrade next in 6 months of soo.

It offers a nicer screen, more iso range, up to 12800, even though I would stay away from that...prob 6400 max. Faster boot up. More pixels, And I can't remember, if it had a different focusing system, wouldn't suprise me. I'd go 50D, its only 100-150$ more...
