What would you upgrade on my rig?

Hello all. I've just got a question out of more curiosity than anything else. What would you upgrade on my rig? Within reason of course. I think I'll probably go in this order.

RAM to 8GB
CPU Cooler
New Video Card

Now I don't need any of this yet but just wondering what course I should take when the time arises for upgrades. I've also got a birthday coming up and maybe should consider putting a few things on my birthday list.

Specs in sig below.

Agreed on the RAM upgrade and CPU cooler (overclocking?) and the new graphics card. I'd say for later an SSD would be cool (Samsung 830!) and possibly a better case (Carbide 300R).

Your video card is what is limiting you now. Get a better video card, and then a $20-30 CPU cooler and get to 4GHZ or so.

Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking. SSD down the road when they get cheaper. Probably at least another year on that. A case was also what I was thinking. I'd probably OC my CPU but mainly I want it to be quieter and cooler since my whole room is about 5-10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. (Fahrenheit). Not sure if it's from my monitor, CPU, GPU, or my 2 aquariums that are heated and lit. Those throw off some serious heat as well.

Honestly it's not that powerful compared to a lot of stuff these days but I max almost everything at my resolution. Skyrim is 40-50 fps maxed without AA. That's the most demanding thing I have.

I'd actually upgrade your graphics card first, then go to 8GB of RAM, then overclock, then a new case, then an SSD.

It really depends on what you think is limiting you though. Graphics card and RAM probably more than case, CPU and HDD. Replace what you think is limiting you most first.

Remember that SSDs are only going to get faster and cheaper too. ;)

I'm talking to some friends and may be able to sell my 5770 for $75. So if that happens I'll probably upgrade my video card in September.
