what ya think about this setup

the motherboard is refurbished...my experiences with refurbished products aren't that good  just my opinion ;)

the refurbished motherboards could be good deasl it all depents by Mfg. I have an ASUS refurbishef mobo also picked at newegg and its great. Just remember that all you get its the mobo no cables or drivers. Make sure that Mfg web site has driver to down load.
Thats why I got ASUS they have all the driver to download.

Your mobo's description: RAM: 3x DIMM Dual-Channel DDR266/333/400 Max 3GB

For dual channel it should be 2 slots or 4 slots ...not 3. so if you put 3 dimms you'll lose dual channel capabilities.

It a socket 754 CPU which mean no dual channel capability no matter what the motherboard was. The memory controller is built into the cpu.

Good thing dual channel isnt earth shattering :) (at least not when the mem controller is on-die)

Wanna bet? ;) For dual channel you can only use 2 [of the 3] slots. How many slots are physically available is a different issue :P
