hello,
i regularly backup my music and setup programs and good stuff like that. i heard someone talking about backup programs the other day where you make a "bootable" (i think) disk. he said you reformat your HD and setup your programs how you want them and then if you have to reformat later you can just stick the disk in afterwards and you get your stuff back without having to manually reinstall everything and tweak your settings and stuff again. im a bit of a noob so i was wondering what you guys recommend as far as backup or bootable thingy programs go? whats the best/most noob friendly?

Many people say Norton Ghost is good... it saves your hard drive like a snapshot. Got a problem? Run your Ghost discs and you're back where you were before you had problems.
I'm cheap, so I've not used Ghost; my personal favorite backup method is to burn all my files to DVD-RWs, and keep them for the day I need to reinstall Windows and all my applications. Takes longer, but it's cheaper.
