good motherboards

Asus
Abit
Intel
Gigabyte

I have owned pretty much nothing but Asus boards for over a decade, they are reliable, good quality, and have never failed me. Every time I build a system for a friend I use Asus. I also have always used Antec powersupplies. No review out there can tell you that. I have personally used both Antec Power supplies and Asus motherboards for over a decade and as long as they keep making me happy with their products I will keep buying them.

There are other good brands too, but I stick to what I know will work and they both have not failed me in a decade.

What's the use of getting a board (650i chipset) that only supports shitty SLI (the 8x 8x SLI which is useless). Go for 680i/750i/780i/790i if you want SLI support (680i or 750i if you are going for somewhat cheaper).

But if you're not planning on SLI, take an Asus P5K. It overclocks like mad.

Here it hits a 510 FSB... And that's not even the FSB wall O.O Imagine the RAM possibilities O.O

Ya, I had the Asus P5K Deluxe and it was a beast! I could hit 500MHz on the FSB, and I got my Q6600 up to 3.85Ghz!
