Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could give me advice about what a good temperature should be for both my cpu and computer. I just built my first computer and was unsure about the temps. Thanks!
When your CPU usage is at (or close to) 100%, usually when you're running CPU-intensive applications, games, stress test and whatnot. Listening to music or browsing doesn't count as having your CPU "under load"
I still have to run tests on it...any suggestions????? I'm using the heat sink and fan that came with my AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Chipset. I should probably buy a better fan huh????
They are ok but I have never liked AMD or Intel stock heatsinks and fans. Depends to on what the room temp. the computer is in to. But the 6000/6400 does put out alittle more heat.
also it's not just the CPU fan you need to consider- the other fans and the general airflow of the case is a big factor as well as the type of thermal paste you are using.
Also regular dust bunny clearance is a good idea too
