Whats a good Virus Protection program???

No, you should never use more than one antivirus program.

I quite like AVG as well, but in reality, most of the major programs will perform a similar job. People usually just recommend what they have experience with. IMO, there's no need to pay for an antivirus program. Look at some of the free ones (AVG, Avast, etc...)

If you need a free antivirus avg and avast are great but they only have around an 88% detection rate and an even lower detection rate for trojans!

I am using norton2005 right now but the more homework I do I have decided my next antivirus is going to be kaspersky its top notch!

Now I know I just opened up a can of worms for all the avg and avast users out there but do your homework, it is the best you can get for free but it is still a free antivirus and has no where near the amount of definitions in its data base as some of your paid for antiviruses!

The top 5 for detection rates are as follows!

1.Kaspersky
2.Symantec
3.Nod32
4.Mcafee
5.Bitdefender

These are all very good antiviruses and I would use anyone of them it would mostly depend on price!

If I had no money I would use AVG or Avast in a heartbeat and of the two I would choose AVG! They are on top of their game as far as trying to keep there data base updated for new threats and are working on becomming a topnotch antivirus!

These are not my opinions either here is a antivirus comparison by a non bias company that does not advertise or take kickbacks for listing one as being better than another one!
