black screen and white screen another way? seems like is pretty hard to spot any. i hope not. theres one and i thought it is but is just a dust. :D

LOL...you know, I saw a dead pixel on a CRT once. Or, it was just black in the middle of the toolbar, and stayed there even over the mouse. After a while, it disappeard. Kinda odd. Cheap CRTs :P

Anyway, my thought is why look for dead pixels? If you don't see them, then why TRY to find some? Now if your warrenty is about to expire, maybe look for some, but otherwise, what's it matter :P

It could be some dirt. You know, CRTs are the best vacuum cleaners in the world: they collect all the dust (except those that end up in the computer's fans)...

thank god i dont have any dead pixels on my 400+ 19in lcd monitor or else i'll probably need to spend 50 bucks to quicksend it back to manufacturer since newegg only takes it back if there are 8 or more dead ones.

No, it was an actual pixel! It was odd. I kinda looked at it for a while, tapped on the screen a bit, then within about 10 minutes POOF.

I thought so, but a 19" ViewSonic flatscreen CRT would look like this one:

1. Lets get back on topic
2. Next time when photoshoping (both you and Viewsonic people) ... if yer gonna have a picture on the monitor ... make sure the power LED is on :P
