Whats a program that I can edit videos with that accepts my digicams format?

Windows Movie Maker doesn't take whatever format a Kodak digital camera puts videos into. Whats a program I could download that does? Preferably a free one.
 
Whatever format the videos are saved in, I would just get a program to convert your videos to a format that Movie Maker accepts if you think that MM is good enough for your needs.

Just google for some (I would do this for you, but I'm speedlimited, and my internet is dog slow :()
