I just got back from a computer repair place, and they said that my motherboard is warped and that I should get a new one... what does that mean? whats a warped motherboard?

Maybe others can back me up here but from what ive read, your system can warp the motherboard from too much heat over a extended period of time, which can cause certain circuits to lose contact etc.

Have you ever heard of wood warping? Same thing... Are you sure it was installed correctly? I could see a board becoming warped over time if the stand-off's are correct.

well there is another term for cook ware , when a cookie sheet becomes soo hot it tweaks itself like, it twists a little or the opposite sides rise higher than other corners of the sheet

just so you guys know the motherboard works fine horizontally but then vertical my PC powers off after a minute.
