whats an onboard video

yah im talking to this guy online for cyberpowerpc and he recomanded me a computer with no graphics card and he said it uses an onboard video what is it
 
Onboard video is integrated video. Some motherboards built in video processing, though it's not anywhere near the performance levels of dedicated gaming cards. What's the main purpose of your computer?
 
both of those are pretty weak for gaming (the 3000 series and the hd 4350). what kind of gaming (new/old, maximum/medium/minimum, etc.) are you looking to do?

I saw on your link that you have 4gb of memory well i think it will be fine for gaming. but be sure that your onboard video has a 512mb shared memory

If you are gaming, you do NOT want onboard video,onboard is severely limited due to faster dedicated graphics memory on the card, not sharing frame buffer with the system memory. Onboard video is meant for those who do not play games, but instead use a computer for things such as office work.

Then its not for gaming, gaming is one of the largest market sectors of consumer video cards other than 3d modeling/rendering, and also why higher end video cards cost as much as they do. Try playing something like crysis on an integrated video card, even at lowest settings framerates wont be playable.
 
i want the computers able the run fastest enough with no lag posibly on medium settings
i only want to play 3 games really for now that tke some space
the total war series and sc2 other then that i dont care

I'd recommend something with at least a 9600gt or 4650/4670, although you usually are better off buying a GPU and installing it separately if you are going to buy a PC from an OEM like cyberpower(make sure to get a good quality power supply, not the unbranded generic ones they like to use).
 
XtremeGear SLI/CrossFireX Ready Power Supply is that any good? like i said im on a tight budget and i dont care if its the ebst on the market or even close as long as it cud run those games my hp pavilion can sorta run the total war series games and that computer is better then my current one i just want to know if any of those things are just neusences

Cyberpower really doesnt give much choice over power supplies, the cheapest one that is even decent is the 650W corsair, which they want $101 for. Those "XtremeGear" units are just cheap chinese ones that arent worthwhile. The PSU is the heart of the system and if it fails can ruin alot of things, and can damage the hard drive, optical drive, motherboard, cpu, memory, etc.

Of course, there is always the option of building your own computer, which nets you alot more for your money and is relatively simple to do, it really only takes a screwdriver to do(and perhaps a pair of needlenose pliers to fasten the standoffs into the case).
 
yah my parents dont trust me do that like do u know any good stcok computers that are 600$ with windows 7 that can run games how there supose to be played with no lag? here are the game requirements i want to play Napoleon: Total War

Please dont make multiple threads on the same topic, for SC2 you need a pretty decent graphics card, far more than what onboard is going to provide you. You are not going to get a decent dedicated graphics card from any OEM for $600.
