Whats best?

Im looking to buy a TV card for my laptop, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what is best - USB or PCMCIA, and which specific make/model is best in that format.

Ideally I want one that will receive freeview and that I can record from (ideally, with a timer, so i can go to lectures and leave the timer on so it will record when the program starts)

any help is most greatfully received

I would say that there are probably more options available for USB, i havent seen too many PCMCIA TV Cards.

I would strongly suggest that when your looking at one, look at the max resolution it supports.

How much do you want to spend?


Wow i got really confused when i saw OMEGA, then i look at your sig and i was like o nice its geoff.

EDIT: Just read all of the first post. Ill find one for ya

EDIT 2: Something like this is ideal, and i stand by Hauppauge all the time.
