Whats better than N295GTX SLI

Hey all,

I've got a computer here, and I am looking to upgrade the vcard.

I have an Asus P6T Motherboard
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131359)

And I also have the MSI N295 GTX running in SLI. I want to know what is a better, newer card that will be better than the two GTX's. I want to stick NVIDIA, and I definitely need it to be compatable with the motherboard.

Thx!

Price range, I'm looking anywhere between 100 - 250

oke 2x 295 is faster then a single gtx 760, but dont forget about the heat and power that the use.
also gtx 295 is running direct x 10.
dont get my wrong sli gtx is still a very strong setup.
my advice, sell them, and get a gtx 770 or wait for the new cards from nvidia

As hardware reviewer, I can recommend you the MSI GTX 760 OC Twin Frozr Gaming. It's almost the cheapest gtx 760 you can find on the market and offers great performance + a silent and effective design.

If your budget allows you to, then get the gtx 770. You can get the same MSI design for this card.

At 1080p/1200p, both cards will serve you well.

For 250 bucks your best bet is definitely the GTX 760 or the R9 270X. The GTX 760 is usually in the $250 region and the R9 270X is usually a bit cheaper - closer to $200.

And yeah it would be helpful if you just stuck to one thread next time.

Being that it's 4 Way SLI, and games usually just take advantage of 2 cards (or 1 in your case, which is basically 2 280s), you are probably getting around 480 performance. If every game was perfectly optimized, it would probably be 580 level, but they aren't. A 760 should be a significant upgrade.

I would probably go for the 770. What would I notice as a difference? (Quieter, cooler, faster, etc..)

It's actually probably closer to $200 for both, but yes. You should be able to afford a 770 after selling both. A 770 will beat a 280, but a 280X will be very similar.
