whats difference between agp and pci

I assume you mean standard PCI, and not PCI-E.

PCI = 33MHz bus speed
AGP = 66MHz bus speed

AGP is going to be better for graphics cards, as it has a larger bandwidth/data transfer speed. However AGP is only for graphics, you can't stick a sound card in an AGP slot or anything. PCI is for most any periperial, including sound, ethernet cards, graphics cards, etc.

i meant pci-e

Ah, well then it's entirely different :D

AGP 8X vs PCI-E 16X. If you lok at it simply, 16X is DOUBLE of 8X, so it should be faster. However it's not literally twice as fast. PCI Express can send data both ways at once, while AGP can only send one way at a time. I think PCI-E is superior in everyway, and the only way to go when you upgrade next. However it probably isn't necessary to go out and spend $200 on a new Mobo and GFX card jsut to get PCI-E, wait till' you are ready to buy a whole new computer, then make the switch.
