What's everyone's favourite browser

What's everyone's favourite browser? sorry if this has already been done, if so feel free to just redirect me, for years now, I have always favoured Firefox, I have always despised ie, after re installing windows my girlfriends Facebook games kept crashing on her, so she installed chrome which I didn't really want to use, but since I use the desktop anyway I thought I would give it a go, a couple of friends have already switched, after using Opera for a short period, which I found painfully slow, although I did like the layout of it, I found Chrome a lot faster, still prefer Firefox though as I find the layout in Chrome a bit irritating, and I also find it fails to load pages a lot more often than Firefox. Is Chrome technically better?

Chrome is a lot better than Firefox in several areas, for me, syncing isn't a pain in the ass with Chrome, it doesn't lag or stop responding randomly, and its crashes are as rare as rainbow unicorn poop.

Firefox however has serious performance problems, sync is a pain in the ass to set up, it's not multi-process, so performance gets worse the more tabs you open at once, plus some memory specifics like not being able to utilize more than 4 GB total for the browser, while Chrome can use up to 4 GB per tab if needed, so as long as you have the RAM you can open as many tabs as you want in Chrome.

So yeah, Chrome is superior.

I like to think Chrome is better, but it is still glitchy on crappy connections, frequently giving me "no data received" errors on sites where Firefox works fine (among other glitches like only partially downloading media such as pictures, and not refreshing properly), so I'm sticking with Firefox for now. It's a shame because Firefox can sometimes get unbearable once you have a crapload of tabs open in several windows which I often do.

Pale Moon is Firefox. I don't like it. Chrome is ok, IE9/10 are ok, but the javascript engine in 10 is giving me problems.

Been using Chrome quite happily for just over 2 years now. Used Opera before I switched to Chrome and IE8 before that.

So yeah, Chrome is my favourite. :)

Well it seems pretty unanimous, I have never heard of Pale Moon, I will have to have a look at that, yeah I always get that no data received error with Chrome, especially when I was downloading windows updates on a second computer the other day. The problem I have with i.e other than it being extremely slow is the page always looks like a complete mess, I would like to stay with Firefox as I am so used to it, and love the layout so much, the problem with the Facebook games is the only problem I have ever had with Firefox, it has always worked really well, but after reading this, I will have to give Chrome a good test, as I am not going to miss out on a technically better browser because I don't like change. The I.T guy at my step daughters school apparently favours Chrome as well.

Pale Moon

Just gone to install Pale Moon, and I was confronted by this message:

IMPORTANT!

Please keep in mind that the nuber of 64 bit plugins is still very limited.
You may have to download the beta versions or unsupported versions
of your favourite plugins and some add-ons. Please take this into consideration.

For full support for plugins and extensions, download the normal (32-bit) version!

Are you sure you want to install the native 64-bit version of Pale Moon?

Will this be a big problem? would you just install the 32 bit version?

I run the 32-bit version on all my 64-bit machines. I just don't wanna worry about not having a plugin, though it's probably very minimal that I'd encounter it.

Would 64 bit be faster? although I have been doing a little searching around about the 64 bit version and it can apparently be more trouble than it's worth, apparently Java and Flash player can cause problems

Nah to the normal eye they run basically the same.
