I've been considering upgrading the HD on my laptop. I bought it used a few month ago. Its a Sony Vaio PGC-V505EX. I have already upgraded the RAM to 1Gb but its still slow when I start up the notebook. However, I don't know how many RPM the HD runs. How can I find this out? I checked on ebay for the same model notebook and some adds say the HD is 4200RPM others say 5400RPM.
If my HD is running at 5400RPM's then I probably won't upgrade since many people have said that upgrading to 7200RPM won't be all that noticeable. But if I'm running at 4200 well I'm definitely upgrading. Is there some shareware or some software that can show me how fast my HD is running??
Thanks,
