whats the best card

out of the following

Radeon x1950xtx
Radeon 1950pro
Geforce 7950gt
Geforce 8600gt

thats the four cards im stuck between i currently have a x850xt

the 1950xt has the most power, but its DX9. i would go for the 8600GT simply because it has DX10 capabilities

The x1950XTX is the best, however I would save up to get a DX10 card. Theres really no reason to buy a new DX9 card.

As for the 8600GT, I would NOT get it, it does poorly compared to the x1950XTX. I would save up for at least the 8800GT/GTS.

The x1950XTX gets over twice the framerates of the 8600GT.
 
The 1950 XTX is the best DX9 available, apart from the 7950 GX2, however there is no point in spending that much money on a DX 9 card with dx 10 games starting to appear. But DONT go for any 8600 card, because they perform poorly, i would say the only card you should consider buying at this time in the 8800GT, nothing else, unless your not bothered about DX10
