Whats the deal with IE7??

Damn I got the Google toolbar installed.
 
Constantly that was the only option for FF until seeing the Crawler toolbar go on with the latest version of Spyware Terminator and deciding to see how the C bar would work with the web filter there. I didn't need the extra toolbar. The majority of addon bars fall into the vulnerable to phising attacks catagory without most knowing about it. That's one way spam gets to your inbox as well.
 
Well a few days ago I took the plunge and allowed IE7 to install. Before I allowed it I installed ieSpell. After IE7 was installed I re-downloaded ieSpell and now I got the icon in the toolbar present. For the most part IE7 works fine. It froze a few times but for the most part it works as well as IE6. While I was at it I downloaded all the other updates available for Windows XP so now I have the most up to date software possible.
 
Any browser can see locks at times even IE whether 6 or 7. I've seen FireFox 2.0 lock up on a few occasions. But most of that can be related to something still running in the background that hasn't closed fully.

You will still the page cannot be displayed message on any of them if you fail to connect to a specific server. The antiphising filter is one thing that helps cut the amount of crap down from getting on the system while you still want a good tool for protection anyways.
 
Hey Chrislo, just curious about your system specifications. You have a Pentium 4 HT Extreme processor correct? Or is it the Pentium 4 HT processor?
 
I cannot go without tabbed browsing... I have to have FireFox... IE has let me down in several ways over the past while. I had Windows do an update(XP), something went bad with IE7, so I had to go back to IE6 and update again to IE7. That's when I got mad and said "Screw IE, Firefox deserves a chance". Now when I host a website, only version of IE that will go to the site is 7 but, any version of FF, Safari, or Opera will go right to it... I never will understand IE, Windows, or Microsoft...
 
Sometimes what you may think is a problem with a browser whether IE or another when not able to get onto a site is simply the volume of traffic that site just happens to be seeing at that moment. The only toolbar other then the Google toolbar that will go onto FireFox for offering something besides Google for a search engine unfortunately is the Crawler toolbar where you are limited to their own search engine. no thanks!
 
For some reason I don't find IE 7 having any more problems getting on any site I visit then when using IE 6 and FireFox. If the ISP's own servers are cluttered at certain times of the day or night things will then see slowdowns and even a few problems getting onto extra email accounts.
