What's The Deal with The Error Message?

Hey everybody,
I have a question about my Norton Internet Security. About 1 of 5 times that I restart my computer, or turn it on from it being off, The Red Shield of Death pops up saying my Virus Protection is turned off. I open my Norton and it says the LiveUpdate is turned off, and I try to turn it on, and another messages says there is an internal error. I do this a few times, and then it just randomly works, and it is all good. Also, sometimes the red shield comes up, but it says everything is working fine. So I dont know whats going on, can anyone help? Thanks a lot,

Well I had this problem in the past, had to change versions. IF you pay for it, I would say it is Nortons Responsibility to fix it. Since you did pay for it, give them a call. So either give them a call or change versions.
 
Does it stay off? Mine takes a few to load then the shield goes away!
PS: Check to make sure you didnt turn anything off in the startup menue that is related to norton, and if all else fails try to do a fresh reinstall maybe a file is corrupted!

or it could be because of ur internet connection. the shield may appear until ur comp establishes a connection so it can begin live update checks.
