I dunno man, just dont think i would use this thing to its potential... has a great cpu, 8mb cache, 8 mb ddr3, and a descent gts 240 gpu, but like i said, i dont game... i went out and bought crisis yesterday and played it on high settings with only a few lil flickers here and there, so the powers great, but if im just gonna use it for daily internet , watching youtube and downloadiing , i dont need it..

also when i got it, this was the only descent one they had left.. all the others were cheap 400-500 dollars with crap components..


i know it sounds dumb but with xmax coming up , ill have another $350 or so to buy a fwe presents.. Mom needs a gps ... BAD! so theres 200, then the other will more than likely be in games and blu rays..

Bottom line . its just overkill .. it caught my eye , and my options were limited , as also i have been without a computer for about a month



As far as L2 and L3 cache... im lost.. this has 8 and lots of ppl tell me even 4 is overkill

yes, but i had a laptop die on me under black tie warranty , so they gave me $1100 on a giftcard for what my old laptop was worth...


Could buy all the parts from there, but when i actually did the math , building this dell i have now with win 7 OS would only be about 150 cheaper , and about 100 more if i upgraded the power supply to 650 watts and GPU to a GTX 260...


current is a 350 watt PS and a Nvidia 240



What do you think my best bet would be as far as picking up a desktop for under $800 there... the 2 i listed are pretty much the only options, unless i go to laptop, but then if something breaks im really screwed
