I am just buying a new desktop PC. It is pre-built with the motherboard containing 1 x PCI-e x 16 Slot and 2 x PCI-e x 1 Slots (all are spare).
As I want to add a Wi-Fi card (PCI) and a front panel card reader (3.5") with 4 USB 3.0 inputs, there are different ways to achieve this.
I have already bought a Wi-Fi card which will connect to the PCI-e 16 but if I do that I only have two PCI-e 1 slots left for the Card reader/USB 3.0.
I am still within the timescale to send this back if it is better to use the PCI-e 16 for the card reader/USB 3.0 and either get a Wi-Fi card for the PCI-e 1 slot or even an USB Wi-Fi adaptor.
Which is the more efficient/fastest input to use for each?
