What's this tablet like....

I'm looking for a tablet as a Xmas pressent for general use like watching iplayer and browsing etc.

I like the look of this, pretty much my budget but can it be beaten with a cheaper tablet?

The Nexus 7 is just about the cheapest tablet anyone should consider, regardless of what they want to do with it. Anything less is going to be terrible.

The Kindle Fire HD is another cheap tablet worth considering, and it can be had for only a little more than the one you posted.

The problem with the inexpensive tablets like this one is usually the screen. For instance, this one is a 10" tablet but has a screen resolution of 1024x600.

The Nexus 7 that Ethan3.14159 recommended has a 7" screen size with 1280x800 resolution so things like pics and video will be much sharper.
