whats up everyone-
i have a hp desktop compter and latley is will just restart or go to this blue screen.. i have norton anti virus on it and also i have a geforce 7800 gt overclock video card and a bfg power supply 650 watts..anyone have any ideas?

basically everytime i turn on my compter.. i just keep turning it on until it does not restart or blue screen it takes about 3 or 4 times turnig it back on to make it stay on and then it will not fo it for hours only when i turn it off of lof off..

i bought the compter then i put in the video card and then it started to do the same thing and i had it taken to a comptuer store and they said that the power supply that came with the compter did not have enogh power to power the ge-force 7800 gt overclocked video card..then i bought the power supply and is keeps doin it but i called nvidia and they said that i have enough pwer to power the video card so i dont think it it that

Can you try the card in another computer if so try that.
does it get to the windows loading screen ?

you could use something like free AVG instead of norton...works as well.

but i don't think its norton that is causing the BSOD.

one cause of BSOD to me was my computer overheating....so this is tough gotta narrow the issue down some more.

i have AVG free 8.0 - it works just as well as the bought scanners.

well, post the error from the BSoD. make sure you have a pen a paper ready..
also, if you've had problems before with a different PSU, and youre sure the new one is capable, make sure you have the power cable to the card installed properly.
