whats wrong with my internet?

well my wireless laptop is working perfectly but my desktop is really slow. im using a netgear wgr614 v6. i got no idea why its going really slow on my desktop. is there any way to find out why its going slow.

also its been really hot today, and the case is very hot. not sure if this has anything to do with it, just thaught id mention it.
 
ok im putting it down to a hardware problem. i did a fresh install today and its still really slow. but how can this happen? if something is broken shouldnt it not work at all? is there any way to find out whats broken and how to fix it?
 
If you installed any antivirus or antispyware programs recently, that could be the problem. If so try dissableing it or them and see if that helps.

download::
1-"super-anti-spyware"
2-Both "AVG" spy ware/virus protections
3-And "Avast"


run scans on all of them

then post a "hijackthis" log
 
i did all that scanned for spyware and viruses. nothing found. so i did a fresh install and still the same problem
