i have a sony vaio VGC-RB53. it has been online but not in the last month. sometime yesterday... it just stopped working. the power is on. the monitor is connected... no picture. no blinking cursor... nothing. i opened the case and the case fans are still spinning, i connected a different video card and tried that... no luck. what my troubleshooting tells me so far. a virus is doubtful since it's been stand-alone for about a month. the monitor isn't faulty. it keeps power. i thought maybe the motherboard might have fried, but the case fans are connected through it, and they were opperating. maybe the processor? i dont know what would happen if the processor went bad... so i can't tell you if my current pc trouble is similar. please help me. i've voided my warranty by installing a video card myself (which i think i did really well... no problems - period) everything worked fine for a few months and then... nothing. thanks for your time - any input would be helpful. -randall
