whats wrong with this thing?

ok, so i just got a new PSU. a Ultra x-connect 500W. now heres the problem, it just started today too. i had it install for about a day already, and when i press the ON botton on my comp, it boots up normally. but today....... when i turn my comp on, the computer runs, but nothing is shown on the monitor. no loading process er w/e, bios, nothing. my monitor keeps on its orange standby light.

so i switch the psu off from the back and switch it on again, and THEN things start to boot up normally. then i shut down, a while later, turned on my computer and the same thing happens again, so i had to turn it off from behind and yea.

wat is wrong? why isnt it booting up normally? the computer comes alive but the monitor stays on standby, ?!?!?!!??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?? :confused: :confused:
 
Just because the computer does something doesn't meant it's actually "running" From the sound of it, if you just got a new power supply, I'd suspect it's bad. Perhaps try your old power supply again and see if it works better.
 
hmm u tink? i dont think the psu is bad, something is wrong with the bootin up... cuz i mean, all the fans and hdd and cd drives turn on, just nothing appears on the monitor.

no its not gona work better, thats y i got a new one. duh..... my old one was a 300w with 12v @12a. now... comon...

No, the point that I believe they were getting at is; if you suspect it's a PSU issue, and it's a fairly new PSU, you might want to try putting the old one back in, just to see if it does the same thing, or if it's only the new PSU. That would help narrow down what the problem is.
 
ahhh, ic ic. well i dont reli have time for that now....... got a vacation trip tomorrow. soo................ yeaaaaaaaaaaa. ill try it wen i get back. please post up any more ideas if u guys have any. ur help is greatly appreciated.
