Whats your opinion on this?

Nice

It's a nice option to have. However, I do not see myself using it much anyway. If I really want a nice CD, I print over it with color and not mono-color.

JAN :D

It would be nice but finding media to burn might be expensive or difficult.

I've heard that light scribe has amazing detail though.

thats a ripoff, just get a epson printer that can print directly on cds/dvds, the cheapest model they have cost 99 bucks but i seen them for 79 with some rebates, and i think epson is the only brand that makes these printers

I would love to have one....but 200 bucks.....thats a little to much for something I wont use very often..

How the hell does it work anyways?

i'm pretty sure you need special media... but the jist of it is, you flip the cd label side down, and the laser etches an image... just like a thermal printed receipt or ticketmaster tickets....

Hah i still thinks its a pretty good deal. i dont know how much it would cost to buy it separately (cuz my comp came with it) but the CDs/DVDs are not much more expensive than the regular ones every1 buys. and plus a good thing is that you can burn a label on a DVD and not have dvd-player reading problems as you do with sticker labels
