This'll teach me to use windows and the internet... One never learns!
I was forced to take my 'internet' mac away on work duties a month or two ago, so I've been using my newish pc (windows 7 64bit, quad core, yadayada) for internet duties. I use it for music work primarily, so it needs to be bomb-proof and always available.
Anyways, the program I had been using with it (Nuendo) one day decided it wasn't opening. I'd installed a couple of things since I'd last used it, so I tried uninstalling them to no avail. I therefore, in a slight panic, 'restored' it to an earlier date (whatever the correct term is, you know what I mean). Hey presto, Nuendo ran, I was happy. However...
Now I can't play internet streamed video, be it youtube or any other number of different sites players. The images appear, and it plays maybe about 1fps with no sound. The window it's in also becomes fairly unresponsive (ie - back/reload take seconds to respond, etc...). This is the same in windows explorer and chrome. I've re-installed flash and it's made no difference.
I'm fairly stumped. Any help please?
Thanks
