When Is A PC...Too Hot? ;|

hey guys, i just got this software that regulates my fan speeds according to the temperatures it's reading, it can only read one temp. which is the Processor fan and i was just wondering...how hot is too hot?

Also, my 120 mm fans have been barely pushing any air out, i have two that are supposed to shoot the air out and i can barely feel any air coming out, whereas my Power Supply's fan is shoving air out
 
For a processor, 50C is getting hot. You want to be atleast 45C or below is ideal. Is there any dust on your fans? That really slows them down.
 
Uninstall the fan regulation software, and see if they push much air then. They may not be running fast because it isn't hot enough, wheras the PSU fan isn't regulated by the computer.
 
For a Pentium D, 50C isn't bad for a load temp. My 805 temps are 41C idle, 48C load. When you start getting into the low-to-mid 60's is when you should start to worry.

my fans are running full speed (i think) my mobo doesnt connect to the fans, they are plugged directly into my Power Supply

If they are not plugged into the motherboard, then I think that they cannot be controlled.

yea i know, but i was wondering if you guys had any explanation for this, i mean, i can not really feel any air, my 80 mm fan could shove a thousand times more air out

ummm...they are old? Fans are something that either work or don't, spend $5 and get a new one.

a 120mm fan costs more than 5$ and no they are brand new, this case was supposed to have the best cooling in its price range (the only 1 with 3 120mm fans) and its disapointing they can barely move air ( literally have to hold my hand over the fan to feel anythying
 
thats stupid though, because my side fan was already installed, so i didnt change anything and it sucks air in...do you think that was their man idea?
 
Side fans are ok to blow air in because theyre usually aimed at the video card. One on top probably should blow out. In the front I would blow air in.

here it is, read the reviews (do you guys think that i should reverse the fans so they push out air instead?)

P.S. i dont think it will ever go to 40C my fan is running full speed (the CPU Fan, ive been doing it for about 5 min) and its only at 45C not to mention its gonna be hot during the day so do you guys think i shouldnt overclock it then? because i was planning on overclocking it
 
Side and front blow in, back and top are generally exhaust
edit: i saw your case, the one on the back should be blowing out, the one in the middle should be blowing onto the drive bays, and the one on the side should be blowing in.
 
ok, thnx guys, the back isnt really blowing out alot either, but i think ill just go buy another good 120mm fan and put it in the back with that one, then maybe that'll give me a boost

The fans in the case are only 1000rpm. A good fan is 1500 or 2000. It is meant to be quiet.
 
If your computer isnt overheatin they u dont really need to mess around with the fans

cuz my comp's fans dont blow at all wen u put your hand but the computer is cold as an icecube :|
