For some reason, the new cases wires for the buttons and leds didnt come grouped together in an adapter form, but rather individual inserts (plugs w/e). But im confused as to which pins to connect these to.
These inserts have names like power sw, reset sw, power LED-, power LED+, HDD LED
totally confused.

The pinlayouts should be printed somewhere right on your motherboard or on your motherboard manual with + and - signs. Just stick each individual pin into the motherboard according to the diagrams.

i dont have a manual for it (oem board) and i cant see a thing showing me where to connect to on the board. all i see written on the board is usb/rset/pwrled
but there is to rows of pins next to these, but dont know which ones should be connected where (for instance the + & -)

The rset should be the Reset button, the pwrled should be the Power LED. If the others are not marked look at the connector on the old case and track the wires to where they go to know what pins are what.

They are colour coded. the cables and motherboard connection that is. i had the exact same problem. use a torch to see better.
