Where can I get a dark WiIndow Blind?

I do computer graphics a lot and looking at the default window blind(the grey one) tends to be too bright on my eyes.

I've seen videos where people are using darker, almost black or a dark grey color for their menus and such. I am assuming this is a window blind that they installed. Any idea where I can get such a thing? Not looking for anything fancy, just looking for a darker menu. (As in where the File, Edit, View, etc is)

Thanks in Advance

If you are using windows xp and you don't want to use windowblinds, then you can simply find lots of msstyles for free and select one you want.

In order for third-party msstyles to work, you need to patch a windows .dll file called: uxtheme.dll
It is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32

This is all legal.

You can find the patcher here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/UXTheme-MultiPatcher.shtml

Then on this page you will find lots of styles to choose from.

Basically, once the uxtheme.dll has been patched (and I recommend making a copy of the original file as a backup before patching in case you want to replace it some day) then you can download the msstyle you want and place it in C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\

Each theme should have it’s own folder to prevent the overwriting of the sometimes included ShellStyle.dll that ships with some themes. Make sure that if the msstyles file has an accompanying Shell directory that it gets moved as well. It must be in the same folder as the corresponding msstyle.

To select an msstyle to use, you can either double click it or go to desktop, right-click, then properties, then Appearance tab and find it in the drop down menu (that is - if it was previously placed in the windows theme directory).

I hope that helps. It is really easy to do.

Thanks. Found one I like, though getting use to have the Retore, Minamize, and Clse buttons being all identical dots may get some gettign use to, though I think i will adjust quite nicely.

Thanks once again.
