I'm wondering where can i get ubuntu. Also i want to put it on a computer but still keep my xp os on it so i'm wondering how can you do that?

Wubi is good for that. It allows you to safely dual boot with Ubuntu, without damaging your Windows partition at all.

You can download the latest release (8.10) at the Ubuntu home page: http://www.ubuntu.com/

There is a special way that you have to burn the image to a CD... I would recommend this guide: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Docs/Installing_Mandriva_Linux/Writing_CD_and_DVD_images (You might notice that the guide is for Mandriva Linux... it doesn't matter as the method of burning is the same for Mandriva and Ubuntu.) It lists some free software you can use for the purpose... I personally have had success with ISO Recorder.

So i got ubuntu and i burned the disk image onto a cd-r and when i start my computer i go into the ubuntu screen and i pick a language and then after that when ever i click on something it comes up with a disk error (something like can't boot from disk) and then the computer restarts. I have xp on the hd right now and i have two cd drives the master is a dvd drive and then the other one is a cd drive (used cd drive to burn image). I used infarecorder to make the disk image. I'm wondering why i'm getting a disk error.
