Where has task manager gone?

I always used to press ctrl alt delete when m computer froze up so that i could end the programs that werent responding. but recently i have noticed that it doesnt come up anymore. even when the computer isnt doing anything.

i can right click on the taskbar and select it, which opens it up, but it seems that ctrl alt delate doesnt work any more

why is this?
How can i get it to open like that again?

ok I once had that prolbme with an old computer. Did you possibly change anything cause i didn't either when it happened to me. Anyways it seems for me it was caused because my computer was slow. Hard to explain but it just refuses to open. More the less i know what your problem is and i have no solutions sorry, But what OS are you using>?
