Where is the structure for the start-menu?

I just got Windows 7 - and so I no longer know where to find the structure that makes up the start menu (folders and shortcuts) so I can modify it. Where is it?

Some is here,
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

and maybe some here,
C:\Users\"Computer Name"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

You'll need to choose "Show hidden files, folders, and drives", and untick "Hide protected operating system files" in Folder Options

I think that what you are looking for is to put the start menu at your own way isnt it?
If it is then right click in the Start button and choose properties
then click on the tab that says Start Menu and then click on the button that says Costumize.. an then choose what you whant to change betueen
link or as menu (or dont dysplay as well) and in the end press OK.
Hope that helps

If you use to have XP then say bye bye to that kind of menu structure, it's a complete new ballgame in 7.

I find most shortcuts in the first one, and a few in the other. You know why there are two locations, and what ends up where?

I never have figured out why there are multiple locations nor why they are so well hidden. The structure of the menu can be manipulated from within the menu itself, drag and drop, but it's easier to work with within explorer IMO. :)
