Where should I put this 80mm fan?

I was planning on putting it on the side, but I don't even get how you can mount it there, with that blue thingy. how do you?

or should I just put it on the bottom area of the front? (like by the HD)

(my case came with one fan on the top, and one on the back, if that helps determine where to put this other one)

If you dont have a fan in the front, i strongly recommend you place that 80mm in the front, otherwise your not going to have optimized airflow. Putting it on the side will allow less air to flow over the hard drives, therefor making them run hotter.

I'll ask my new question here. I was looking at all the fans in my case, and if I'm thinking correctly at 2:30 am, it appears that they all are intake facing the center. like, the blades bend towards the outside of the case. thatd make for air blowing in, right...

if I'm right, should I reverse the back/top ones?

Usually There is markings on the side of the fans saying what way the fans blow, usually if you cant see it the air travels on the side the sticker in the middle is on, I have the same case, to install a 80mm fan ( my ThermalTake iFlash) I took that wind tunnel out and screwed the fan grill from one side of the plastic to the fan which is on the other side, holding it in place:)

If you want to put a fan where the air duct is then just unscrew the air duct, and replace it with a fan. My other computer had the same thing and I just replaced it in about 5 minutes.

I think the original intention of the side fan was to directly feed cool air into the CPU cooler, and that wind tunnel thing helps form a more complete connection between teh CPU cooler and side fan. Whether they line up or not depends on the case, type of cooler and motherboard.

thanks for all the replies.

OMG I can't friggen believe I didn't see those arrows... haha

so if I am to put one in the side, do I want it to be intake or outtake? and do I leave theduct out?

If, looking through the case from the side, the air duct lines up well with the fan on the CPU cooler, leave it on. If the 2 don't overlap well at all, don't bother with the air duct. If the panel won't go on, don't bother with the air duct.

The fan will be an intake.

Stretch a leg from a pair of tights over the fan duct (fan if there's no duct being used) to act as a dust filter. There'll be a lot of dust being pulled into the CPU heatsink otherwise.
